Now ,if you have readed my review for “3 mistakes”,then you will definitely know that how much I like chetan bhagat’s writing style…
There are some of the instances which I liked a lot in this novel, and they are :--

1) First thing first ,a mind blowing starting (very filmy) where CB check his e-mail and get email like this.

Dear chetan
This email is a combined suicide note and confession letter. I have let people down and have no reason to live. you don’t know me. I’m an ordinary boy in Ahemdabad
Who read your books.and somehow I felt I could write to you after that.
I can’t really tell anyone what I am doing to myself-which is taking a sleeping pill everytime I end a sentence- so I thought I would tell you.

The highlighted line appealed me a lot,and made this story look like a film.

2) When professor basant pointed out that this email is from “Gmail account” and sender might have account on orkut also. These lines connected author to the readers, specially young readers as orkut is very popular now days among every age group, specially youngsters.

3) The way ishaan give discount on “Team India Cricket Shop” and his passion seems in his eyes when he talk about cricket.

4) Govind, ishaan and omi at “parekh –ji” dinner party cum religious meeting where Ish looked oddly out of place with his skull and crossbones, black metallic t-shirt..

5) Ishan’s love for coaching “Ali” (a twelve year boy) and his dream to see “ali” in playing eleven of Indian cricket team.

6) The most exciting test match

India vs Australia
Kolkata,Eden Garden,
11-15 march 2001

where laxman scored 275 not out, and India won after being given follow -on and this incident now happened only thrice, in 110 years including this win.

7) Ali’s statement in Australia while declining to scholarship
“I am an Indian. I want to play for India. Not for anyone else”
This was his deepest statement which must touch every Indian at very deep inside of heart.. and it does work for me.

8) The name by which Govind saved cell number of vidya i.e supplier vidyanath.
It showed the reality of small cities in India where boy’s can’t keep a number of
Their beloved by their name.

9) The way “ali” and “ishaan “ play bat –bowl and turn off mama to his life.

10) Lastly ,the happy ending and reunion of both friends.
